Rockstar hasn't released an official weapon list for GTA 6. Everything below was spotted in the two trailers, the official screenshots or the Ultimate Edition listing. Expect the final arsenal to be much larger. We'll update this page when the game launches on November 19, 2026.
You can't carry everything
This is the biggest change from GTA 5. Jason and Lucia can't pull a rocket launcher out of their back pocket any more. As in Red Dead Redemption 2, you'll pick a loadout before a job and keep the rest stored somewhere (presumably your vehicle). It makes picking a loadout matter more than it did in GTA 5.
Every weapon spotted so far
| Weapon | Type | Where it was seen |
|---|---|---|
| Girardi ES9 | Pistol | Jason's signature gun. Based on the Beretta 92FS. |
| Klose K17 | Pistol | Lucia's signature gun. Based on the Bersa Thunder 380. |
| M1911-style pistol | Pistol | Has "Capo" engraved on the slide. |
| Polymer pistol with gold details | Pistol | Official screenshot. |
| Mustang .357 | Revolver | Carried by a female biker. |
| Hawk | Revolver | Ultimate Edition only. Palm tree engraving. |
| Little Morgan | Revolver | Ultimate Edition only. The smaller partner to the Hawk. |
| MP5 | SMG | Used by Jason and Lucia in the heist scenes. |
| Micro SMG | SMG | Palm tree camo version comes with the Ultimate Edition. |
| Light machine gun | LMG | Looks like GTA 5's Combat MG. Seen in an in-game Ammu-Nation TV ad in Trailer 2. |
| Carbine rifle (GTA 4 style) | Assault rifle | Carried by Jason. |
| Carbine rifle (GTA 5 style) | Assault rifle | Carried by Raul Bautista. |
| Springfield M1A | Rifle | Held by a mud-covered hunter in official images. |
| Bolt-action rifle with scope | Hunting rifle | Hunting scenes on Mount Kalaga. |
| Sniper rifle | Sniper | Leaning against a character's leg in a screenshot. |
| Long-barrel double-barrel shotgun | Shotgun | A hunter facing an alligator. New to the series. |
| Grenade launcher | Explosive | Lucia fires it from a moving car in Trailer 2. |
That's 17 weapons, three of them Ultimate Edition variants. If you only have the Standard Edition, the Hawk, the Little Morgan and the camo skins won't be in your game, though the regular Micro SMG almost certainly will.
What's new and what's back
Most of the list is familiar. The MP5, the Micro SMG, the carbines and the sniper rifle have been in GTA for years, and two carbines, one from GTA 4 and one from GTA 5, suggest Rockstar is mixing older designs back in.
The new ones lean into the hunting side of Leonida. The long double-barrel shotgun, the Springfield and the scoped bolt-action all appear in swamp and forest shots. That fits what the trailers show of hunting in the backcountry, even if Rockstar hasn't explained how hunting works yet.
Melee weapons
None have been confirmed as combat weapons. Golf clubs, baseball bats, pool cues and hammers show up in the world, but it isn't clear whether you can fight with them or whether they only belong to minigames and scenery. Every previous GTA has had a bat and a knife, so it would be surprising if they were missing.
Where to buy weapons
Ammu-Nation is back. It appears in the trailer ad mentioned above, and Phil runs a branch in Vice City. We'll add store locations and prices here after launch.
